Hey this may be long so I apologize in advance I'm 17 female and my guy friend is also 17 we met the early part in 2025 and at the time he had a girlfriend what I'm about to admit to is honestly wrong I knew he had a girlfriend and we were flirting to the point where we told each other we love each other and we called each other b or baby when we first met he told me his girlfriend had another account and she was talking to another guy he told me that if anything happened between those two that I would be the main I wasn't really attracted to him in that way but I was bored and I just decided to go along with it because it was entertaining at the point I wanted to tell the girl as I got it enough evidence to go to her and let her know what her boyfriend has been doing but when I requested to follow her she didn't accept my request and there was no other way of me getting through to her because I had no mutual friends with her so this went on for a long time and the only thing that we've ever done was kissed keep in mind I also had a boyfriend but the relationship was new and at the start my boyfriend wasn't so honest and I got the hey girly text that was a whole big misunderstanding as me and my boyfriend were in the same situation we didn't like the person but we just went along with it just because we had nothing else to do and we just wanted to feel some type of Love or validation I guess so my boyfriend knows that I kissed my so-called guy friend multiple times on multiple occasions we live pretty close so I could just walk into his yard not anymore I noticed as our friendship continued he would only speak to me when his girlfriend isn't around he would flirt he would send kisses he would tell me he loves me and that all is if I do it first not all the time he was genuinely a little bit flirtatious and he I guess pretended to care because one day we were all walking and we went to Subway and he went off to meet his girlfriend we thought he was taking pretty long so we walked outside and we stood in front of subway lo and behold his girlfriend was standing right off to the side and we saw her and she saw us we didn't say anything we just stood quietly and we were talking we were like where did J go because he said he was coming back we were getting impatient and we just decided to wait to see if we saw him as he approached he hugged his girlfriend and I decided to ask hey where we going are you coming with us or are you going off on your own he proceeded to give me the most dirtiest side eye and his girlfriend also turned around and you know side-eyed me that is when it hit me he was lying to her still he made it seem like we weren't talking or we weren't friends none of us because there's me and there's my little cousin as far as we both know me and my cousin we were friends with him he decided to ignore us and walk away we proceeded to walk down and talk and when I got home I got a text from her which I will include and I was so confused she was right in front of us and she could have said something but she didn't I got upset with Jay because he was supposed to be my friend we'll just call him Jay for now I decided enough is enough and I don't want to hold a burden that I've been holding for a long time I decided to send her a screenshots of the chats back then I decided to tell her everything will not everything but mostly enough to give evidence that something was going on behind her back my intention wasn't to break them up or to make them not trust each other my intention was to not be caught up in a lie that was slowly killing me inside I felt extremely guilty and I just felt like I owed her an apology and I told her that to show her and tell her hey I did something bad and your boyfriend he also did something bad my boyfriend knows I told him straight away I told him what I did and I kept my distance from my guy friend I decided to not flirt any longer I decided to not be that close to Jay anymore because I wanted to respect my relationship and I wanted to make my boyfriend feel comfortable Jay has two accounts on Instagram he messaged me on one that his girlfriend doesn't know about and that wasn't the first time that he's done that it completely brings me inside and it still hurts to know that that is my choice and that is what I did I told her and she said she would talk to me the next day the next day came she never told me anything she never said she was in the area or anything Jay's mom sent a text and I don't know if she lied or what but I could definitely include it it just completely broke me because now I feel guilty that I said something but I would have felt way worse if I hadn't said anything at this point I could care less about my friendship with Jay it was more about I owe that girl and apology in the truth because I've been meaning to tell her the truth from the start but I didn't get around to now that I did I feel like it's all on me and I feel like I'm in the wrong here although I'm not going to apologize to Jay I apologize to his girlfriend and in no way shape or form I was trying to break them up I reassured her that I think it was only me that he's ever flirted with or spoke to in that way but I'm not sure because I don't have access to any of his stuff all I know is he continues to lie to her and they are still together which doesn't bother me I'm happy that they can work it out but I have the feeling that he completely flipped it on me I have a feeling that he told her that all this is my fault or I'm just lying to break them up which isn't true at all I told you the truth because I couldn't bear the Feeling Anymore I'm in a really happy relationship and I would love for someone to tell me what I told her the truth I'm someone I don't like lying I only lie when it's absolutely necessary and lying is not a good thing it's never necessary to lie it's always good to tell the truth so am I the a hole for telling my guy friend's girlfriend that we were sort of in a situationship can you guys give me any type of feedback or scold me if I'm wrong tell me I'm open to all of the feedback and just let me know if I did the right thing or not if there are any updates I will post on here
