My Hemotolgist said my anemia resolved May 2025 but now my Ferritin is 8 and Iron Sat 11%

And he never found the cause of my anemia, Or my chronic low white blood cells. He said low WBC must just be normal for me. Is that normal?

He said I need referral to Infectious Disease when I asked if maybe Bartonella bacteria could be a cause message sent September 2025) But he never wrote the referral!

A year later: Labs last week show Ferritin is 8 and Iron Saturation is 11 %. I'll be full blown anemic in weeks!! I have diagnosed Gastritis so I can't absorb oral iron.

When I told the hemotolgist my Ferritin was 8 (I didn't have my iron sat number yet) he said "Your Hemoglobin is 14. They didn't order your iron. Ask your PCP for blood work".

Then later same day when I got my iron sat at 11%, I sent another message to hemotolgist late Friday . Waiting for his reply.

Ive been dealing with anemia for two years now. Already lost my hair twice. I don't want to lose it again!

I'm so confused!!!

Shouldn't my HEMOTOLGIST order more blood work, reopen the investigation into the cause and order IV infusions??

Why punt me back to my PCP, who btw abandoned me two weeks ago when I asked her why after three months she still hasn't processed the referral to Infectious Disease that I asked for since November 2025. Two days later she messaged me, said ID Referral denied and then severed care, in the SAME MESSAGE.

What's standard here or next best step?
