Mortgage Ported at 19 years instead of remaining 26 year amortization

As title suggests, I made extra payments to my mortgage and later ported it to a new property. Scotia ported it at the remaining amortization of 19 years instead of 26 years. Tried to get Scotia to adjust it back but they said it's not possible as the amortization was inputted at 19 years.
