Nerve blocks made pain worse?
Just to preface I’ve never been diagnosed with fibromyalgia (I have a shitty neurologist who isn’t even interested in finding out the cause of my constant head pressure even after 7 years so she has no interest in any other diagnoses) but I highly suspect it. I’ve had NDPH and chronic migraines for 7 years I do not have pain free days. I have neck and back tension (I work 2 days a week as a housekeeper which doesn’t help the pain) which I’ve been seeing a PT for since October and that slightly helps the tension but not my head. In January I started nerve blocks, just lidocaine, in my neck and back. I had 5 rounds and the pain has gone from its normal 3-4/10 most days and a 5-6/10 when I work to a constant 6-7/10 since doing the nerve blocks. My neck, spine, shoulder blades, everything feels like bone on bone it’s so painful and nothing is helping it. It started after doing the nerve blocks which I’m no longer getting. I wish I never did the injections they’ve made my life hell I’m in so much more pain it’s constant. I have a muscle relaxer but that does nothing. It slightly eases the muscle tension but it’s hardly noticeable bc all I can feel is pain. I have no idea when or if this will ever get better
Has anyone had a similar experience with nerve blocks making things worse?
