How is it in Melbourne?

What type of bugs and insects are found in a typical household in Melbourne? Will it differ in different places, like how is it near CBD and how is it near Wyndham Vale etc places? And how about mosquitoes? do they swarm on people? I really hate mosquitoes. (like using a flame thrower on their entire species kind of hate). Don't know for what reason, I always am getting bitten by mosquitoes. I do have a considerable amount of dislike for other insects as well. But other than mosquitoes, I'll absolutely kill a cockroach. That disgusting insect is a question to the entire human race. The moment it starts flying, every brave soul will start to sweat a little in fear. Eww.. I am shuddering even when I am writing this post.

So out of curiosity, I wanted to know how things are in Melbourne.
