Anyone else feeling like the Midnight campaign is a major slog?

Coming back after taking a break mid-Dragonflight and I’m struggling to push myself through the campaign quests. The only ones I found to be decent were the troll ones. Anyone else feel that the entire story is really disconnected? I’m losing motivation at level 88. I had plans to level 3 characters through the campaign but I am seriously doubting I can make it through this again.

I see a lot of posts praising the xpac, the quests, and the zones… but holy shit.. I don’t get it.
