New electronic parking brake behavior after hybrid parking prawl recall fix

My 25 Hybrid XLT had the Integrated Parking Module software update installed last week to resolve that recall.

Since then, the electronic parking brake is no longer releasing automatically when shifting into drive and gently applying the accelerator. I’ve got to manually release it.

Anyone else notice this?

The behavior contradicts page 183 of the owners manual:

AUTOMATICALLY RELEASING

THE ELECTRIC PARKINBRAKE

1. Close the driver door.

2. Shift into gear.

3. Press the accelerator pedal and pull

away in a normal manner.
