updated Banks Shorts - also for the water?

Hey everyone, I’ve been using the original Banks shorts for years, mostly for swimming at the pool and beach. They work great in the water.

But it seems like those are being replaced by the Banks Session shorts. I’m curious - are the Session shorts also made for swimming (beach/pool)?

They look more like traditional gym shorts to me, so I’m not sure if they’ll dry well or feel right in the water.
