Private Landlords

Anyone have any leads or recommendations? I’m relocating back to Columbus after 6 years out of state. I have a job making enough for my desired rent, excellent rental history, but poor credit currently as I’m going through a separation and shouldered the bulk of the marital debt.

I have references and letters of recommendation but I’m not sure of the best way to find private landlords. I was in discussion with one I had found online, but I reverse image searched his “license”, and it’s an absolute scam.

I’m working in the Worthington area, but I have lived previously as far out as Blacklick, and Hilliard the opposite way. Im not opposed to a commute.
