Parking tips for All You Need is George at Agora Theatre (Cleveland 03/04)

hey everyone, figured i'd share some parking info for the george harrison tribute show on 03/04. the agora is such a cool venue but if you haven't been lately the parking situation can be a real headache and the neighborhood is definitely a little sketchy so it pays to have a plan.

my best advice is to check out Prked first. it is an app where you can rent driveways or private garage spots from people right near the venue. it is way cheaper than the official lots and you get to skip the massive traffic line that forms on prospect avenue when the show lets out. it is just a short walk and feels a lot safer than wandering around the side streets looking for a gap.

if you want to use the official agora lot it is located right behind the building with entrances off prospect avenue and east 46th street. it is gated and staffed which is good for safety but it usually costs around twenty bucks and fills up incredibly fast. for a 7:30 start time on 03/04 you really should try to pull in by 6:00 or 6:15 at the latest to make sure you get a spot before they put up the full sign. they usually take cards and mobile pay like apple pay now but prices vary per event.

street parking is an option on euclid avenue and side streets like east 40th but honestly it is a gamble. car break-ins are a major issue in midtown lately so please do not leave anything visible in your car - not even a charging cable. some locals even leave their doors unlocked so thieves don't smash the glass just to rummage around. also remember that cleveland updated their meter hours so you might have to pay until 10:00 pm now. use the parkmobile app to stay on top of that if you find a spot. you might find free spots on east 40th if you get lucky but they go fast.

if the venue lot is full or you want a cheaper secure option you can park at the cleveland clinic main garage for about ten dollars and hop on the rta healthline bus. it drops you off right in front of the agora on euclid and it is way less stressful than fighting traffic near the theater. some people also check the firestone lot at east 40th and prospect or the lot near the children's museum but those are hit or miss for events. traffic patterns on euclid and chester are famously bad with lights that aren't synced well so give yourself way more time than your gps says to navigate through the city.

hope this helps and you have a great night on 03/04.
