Parking tips for redveil w/ Chenayder at The Hi-Fi Indianapolis (Indianapolis 03/04)
figured i'd share some info if you are headed to see redveil and chenayder on 03/04. the hi-fi is right in the heart of fountain square which is a great area but parking can honestly be a nightmare since the venue does not have its own dedicated lot and street spots go fast.
definitely check out the Prked app first because you can find neighbors renting out their driveways or private spots right next to the hi-fi. it is way cheaper than the paid lots and you get to skip the traffic mess after the show. plus it is usually just a short walk instead of circling the blocks for twenty minutes.
if you do not use Prked your best bet is free street parking which is all over fountain square. since the show is on a wednesday the two-hour limit ends at 6:00 pm so you can park for free on virginia avenue, prospect street, or woodlawn avenue all night. if the main spots near the fountain are full try looking on virginia avenue north of the i-65 overpass which usually has plenty of space and is only about a five-minute walk. for a solid insider tip the goodwill lot about two blocks south lets people park for free on the east side of their lot after 7:00 pm. just make sure you stay away from the family dollar lot and the st patricks church lots because they are notorious for towing. there is also a laz pay lot right behind the venue in the old pnc lot that usually costs between five and ten dollars but it fills up early too. try to avoid driving down st patrick street itself because it gets super congested with everyone trying to drop off or turn around in a tight space. honestly if you get there around 6:30 pm and grab some food first you will have a much easier time finding a spot before the crowd hits.
hope this helps and enjoy the show.
