Question re: Hammer

Trying to get into retro ARs.

Ordered a bowman m16 parts kit, but I don’t have a hammer.

Can I use any AR15 hammer or do I need an m16 specific hammer? I see they look different online. I was just curious if an AR15 hammer will work the same?
