I have this feeling that being gay makes me less of a man, please help me counter this thought

I'm from India and out here, homophobia is at its worst. Religion and society are both united in treating gays as the worst humans. And internalised self hatred is very common.

I have this thought that being gay makes me less of a man. I know many gays go through this. I was hoping maybe someone who outgrew this feeling can maybe help me out ?

How can I let go of this thought and help myself.
