With the upcoming netflix series on the horizon it makes me wonder will it live up to the iconic early 2000s Scooby-Doo films? Say what you want about those movies but they are quintessentially as Scooby-Doo as it gets in live action. The cast, the enviorment, the sets, the chemistry and even Scooby's cgi and design. Everything about these films worked as faithful adaptations of these classic characters and its rare an IP is translated so well into live action without major overhauls. Will the netflix series carry this tradition? So far only Daphne has been casted that being Mckenna Grace at the helm and its a good choice, shes a decent actress and i think she'll fit the role well. Hopefully the other members are casted well too especially the actor being Shaggy giving he has big shoes to fill taking over the role from Mathew Lillard. Scooby himself is another situation, will they go the full cgi route with him or get a well enough trained dog with added effects in post. Its all a game of wait and see now till we get a first trailer. The premise sounds promising that being about the gang solving their first mystery at a summer camp with Scooby being a puppy who witnessed a supernatural murder. What do you guys think? Will it live up to its predescessors or are u having low expectations?
