This piece at Auction Ninja after reviewing the listing with the consignor, they gave me the following information on the two pieces at Auction Ninja. "From the collection of Frederick Rush Innes (1916–2005), a Boston‑born theoretical physicist educated at MIT and the University of Pennsylvania, a WWII U.S. Navy officer present at Pearl Harbor, and a distinguished Cambridge‑based collector whose Asian art holdings were assembled over more than five decades. Innes was a regular client of leading mid‑century dealers, including Yamanaka & Co. and the Yatsuhashi Gallery, and his estate was later the subject of a major single‑owner sale at Grogan & Company (October 4, 2009), noted for its scholarly depth and exceptional quality. Acquired directly from Innes in the 1990s by the present consignor".
