I finally told my ex that I am still in love with him and it feels better getting it off my chest

We were together 2.5 years, broke up over a year ago. We honestly have not had long texting conversations since as he just shuts down when I would try to talk about anything more than surface level (e.g when I would ask why did it go south, why did he shut down on me). He would block me if I tried to pivot the conversation that way but quickly unblock me. It was dumb and I don’t completely understand how that man operates. He did not want to hang out or talk on the phone when I suggested it which is fair.

Anyway we have been in casual conversation again and I just feel like the bitterness and the intense emotions are a little bit less. He made a joke about hanging out which was weird because I figured it would be for sex but he’s also not a sexual person in the slightest so who knows.i said i was down (which I didn’t really know if i was but i wanted to test the waters, and I can’t even have sex anymore because my SSRI killed my libido so for me it would just be do catching up) and he said “get back to work” which is him classically trying to divert the situation.

Anyway I don’t know what ultimately made me decide this was a good time but I thought instead of us just being accusatory or making surface level convo, etc, I just said what I felt. I said “I miss you” and then thought about it some more. The core issue wasn’t even missing him it was that I still loved him. So I sent a message saying that. He didn’t block me or get upset and he didn’t say it back. But none of that matters it just feels good that I can say it and not keep it inside anymore.

It’s not that I haven’t tried to move on. I want to be married, I’m in my late 20s and my friends have kids already. I have been dating since 2 months after the break up. But there just isn’t anyone I have come across that I feel drawn to like him. I am not sure where this conversation will go but was thinking of proposing the idea that if we are both single in approximately 2 years from today, we will get back together and get married quickly soon after. And in the interim we work on ourselves, and prioritize working on the things we didn’t like about each other. It was something we discussed during our breakup too but then things got super ugly so we dropped that convo at the time.
