Am I right to be annoyed?

This is about my friend/housemate of around 10 years. I’m still not sure how I feel about what happened.

A few weeks ago, my cat suddenly became unwell while the three of us (me and two housemates) were home. Within about five minutes he had a seizure and stopped breathing. I was on the phone to the vet, trying to process what was happening, and getting things together to leave and go to the vet.

I asked my friend if she could quickly call me an Uber and I’d sort out paying her back when I got home from the vet. Her immediate response was that her Uber rating is low and she wasn’t sure if she should do it. In the moment, that really upset me. I was lifting my cat’s body into the carrier while on the phone to the vet, clearly distressed, and I just needed practical help. It felt like something small became complicated. Why are you more concerned with your uber rating than helping me through this?

My other housemate (who I’ve only known about 3 months) didn’t hesitate. She offered to call it and even offered to come with me, despite being clearly upset.

When I got home later, my friend had ordered me flowers and snacks, which I appreciated. At the time I sort of let the Uber thing go because I was so overwhelmed with grief.

But as time’s passed, I realise I still feel hurt about it. She’s briefly talked about my cat with me a few times, but it feels like she gets bored like she has better things to do than support me.

This has honestly been one of the hardest losses I’ve experienced, harder than some human family deaths, and I think part of what’s bothering me is that in that acute moment, I didn’t feel supported by someone I’ve known for a decade. Even with the stuff she ordered, it feels like zero effort as she didn't even leave the house for it.

Am I overreacting to still feel annoyed about this? This isn't the only situation, but it feels like another data point in the history of our friendship where I'm wondering if she's actually there for me.
