Sorry if this has been done to death but I thought I'd get some other opinions on this subject.

Personally I thought the Remake of 2 was class and gave a very beautiful re rendition of a classic. Of course it wasn't without flaws, (the overstretched Labyrinth section of the game can flush itself down the toilet tbh lol) but there again, what doesn't.

I definitely think a Remake of 1 has been needed for years. Due in part I think to how clunky the old game feels now. There are definitely areas that could be expanded on.

What do you want from the Remake of 1?

Here's a couple of my hopeful thoughts on it:

- More houses to explore during the first section of the game en route to the school.

- Similar combat to the 2make but don't go full on Resi Evil.

- Utilizing the knife Harry gets from the diner in a manner similar to a defense item (could use as a last resort if you get grabbed for example).

- For the love of god, DON'T expand the sewer sections. I have a feeling Bloober will pull a Labyrinth section with that 🙄

- Allow more exploration of other buildings in the town. SH1 has loads of interesting areas that could prove very atmospheric and town like. The Police Station, Mall, Bookstores, Post Office, Indian Runner.

- The cult plot and White Claudia does put a distinctive difference to how the town works in this game compared to the second. However, if they do go full blown with the cultists and what not in the 1make then go full on. It would be interesting to see Harry fighting off human opponents for a section of the game. But ONLY for a small section of the game. Something akin to the Gale wind section of 2make with Maria. Harry has to progress through a section of the town (possibly with Cybil) and Dahlia's Cultists are around. Would be a unique and challenging one off section of the game.

- Unlockable costumes and weapons for repeated playthroughs. 2make only has the chainsaw and they cut the sprays. Harry gets the Katana, Rock Drill, Chainsaw and Laser Gun. Some fun and practical costume changes for Harry and Cybil would add some awesome little changes. (Pc gamers will mod I know lol)

- Potential for inclusion of a Silent Hill Origins added scenario at some stage down the line. We all know it won't come with the game lol.

- The school could be expanded somewhat to a larger school that encompasses different age groups. Like a campus I guess.

- One of the best things about the 2make was the better bosses (Eddie in the abattoir in particular). A multi staged fight with the larvae across otherworld Silent Hill to the Hospital where it slowly becomes the giant Moth would be epic. The fight with Cybil at the fairground could also be a lot more devastating given that unlike Eddie, she is a fully trained motorcycle cop who is a marksman and very dangerous when influenced.

That's just a few of mine. What do you guys think?
