WIBTAH for leaving a note on my neighbors door telling them to pick up after their dog?

This morning, I was walking in the door of my townhome and I watched someone that lives one building down let their dog shit in the common area. I watched him turn around and walk away without picking it up.

I made eye contact with him, asked him if he was gonna pick it up. H ignored me and walked back in his house. I get up to my room, and from this vantage point I notice there’s probably 5 lbs of shit along this fence.

So, I’d like to tape the following note to his door,

“Good morning,

There is 5 lbs of your dogs shit along the fence. It is not only lazy, but it’s also disgusting. Be an adult, and clean up after your pet. If you can’t take the time to do so, you simply shouldn’t own one.

I don’t want to discuss this with the HOA, so I thought I’d write you personally. That truly is a large amount of shit, you’d be ashamed and embarrassed if your backyard looked like that. Don’t impose it on everyone else. It’s gross

If this continues unimproved I will address the HOA as I don’t see another option aside from making an in person request which you completely ignored this morning.”

WIBTAH if I tape this letter to his door? I have lived here for 4+ years and have always waved and tried to be nice to this guy but he has never once waved back.
