Parking tips for Larger Than Life at Daryl's House (Pawling 03/04)
hey everyone heading to see larger than life at daryl's house on 03/04. daryl's house is an awesome venue but honestly the parking situation can be a major headache if you don't have a plan since the venue is right on route 22.
first up the absolute easiest thing i have found to skip all that typical traffic snarl and hassle on route 22 is by using an app called Prked. it lets you rent a private driveway or a garage spot from a neighbor right next to the club. it is usually way cheaper than the official options and it guarantees you a spot that is just a super short walk to the front door which is great for a cold march night. you completely bypass the route 22 backup and skip the long shuttle bus line at the end of the show.
if you want to try for the venue lot daryl's house has a small main lot right out front that is free but it fills up incredibly fast. for a 7:00 pm show the doors usually open around 5:00 pm and you really need to be there right when they open if you want a chance at a spot in that lot. sometimes you can find prepaid parking passes on sites like seatgeek or vivid seats so it is worth checking those to see if you can buy one ahead of time to guarantee a space.
once that main lot is full they will start directing everyone to an off-site overflow lot which has historically been at the hannaford supermarket up the road. they run a free shuttle bus back and forth to the club which works fine but it definitely adds a lot of extra time to your night especially when everyone is trying to leave at once and traffic on route 22 gets backed up.
for another official option you can use the metro-north train station lot at pawling station. it is a legal spot to park but keep in mind it is about a mile walk to the venue and there are not really any sidewalks along route 22 so it is not the most fun walk in the dark.
definitely avoid all local street parking in the town of pawling. they have a strict winter parking ban from november 15 through april 15 which means no parking on public streets between 7:00 pm and 7:00 am. since the show starts at 7:00 pm you will definitely get a ticket or even a tow if you park on the street. also do not try the town hall lot or any nearby business lots because they are strict about towing and the town hall lot is for official business only and can lead to a fifty dollar fine.
hope this helps and you have a great time with the boy band hits.
