Trial Cancellation Issue
I ordered the WHOOP 5.0 and started the one-month free trial. After 1–2 days, I realized it wasn’t for me, so I gave the device to my friend instead of returning it immediately.
My friend then created his own trial account and paired it with the exact same device I originally received. He did not receive a new device from WHOOP. No second device was shipped.
Now here is the issue:
• When I try to cancel my trial, I’m told I must return the device or pay the restocking fee.
• But if I return the device, my friend would have to cancel his trial because he’s currently using that same device.
• When my friend tries to cancel his trial, he is also told he must return a device, even though he never received one from WHOOP.
There is only one physical device involved in this situation. However, the system is treating it as if two separate devices were shipped, which is not accurate.
We are confused as to why two separate return requirements (and potentially two restocking fees) are being applied when only one device was ever sent.
Could someone please review this situation and clarify how this can be resolved fairly?
Thank you.
