Removing portion of bottom plate

I am looking for advice on how to remove part of the bottom plate seen here: https://imgur.com/a/Ult1BWx

I only want to remove it up to the vertical studs, and hopefully not damage the existing floor. Circular saw plate it too wide (can't get close enough), I don't think an oscillating tool will be strong enough (?)
