Tip and advice needed!

Hey yall I’m not sure if this is the right group or not but i just recently bought a house with butcher-block counters and I have NO clue how to properly take care of them. I’ve seen that I might have to get an oil for them to coat and protect them? If anyone has them and couple give me some tips to avoid ruining them I’d greatly appreciate it!
