I’m frustrated with BP

I’ve been taking meds for 3 years after postpartum eclampsia. 47yo female not overweight and overall healthy. Last two years been taking amlodipine and losartan with rollercoaster results. If I take daily BP gets down onto the low 100s/70s. My body feels drained and I get nauseous. I can hardly take a hot shower or exercise on these days because it will go lower then I get frustrated weather I should take evening meds or skip. I don’t want it to go too low while I’m sleeping. I’ve had this happen several times and it was scary. But if I don’t take consistently, it spikes! Been like this trying to figure out what to take and when for almost a year.

So I recently added magnesium glycinate in the evening. Only 50-100 mg so not much at all. Helps me sleep great. But I wake up nauseated so something is possibly interacting.

Last night. I must have eaten something off as I woke up nauseated and walked downstairs and checked my BP 156/96…10 minutes later 140/90 but before I went to bed it was 125/85!

That’s highest before bed I’ve had all week and I blame what I ate at dinner (I do try to stick to a low sodium diet, no pork or barely red meat).

My frustration is waking up to elevated numbers 130/140 over upper 80/mid 90s.

Once I take med it drops throughout the day.

But going back…taking it consistently I’ll get too low numbers.

Now I get it… my body may prefer to run on high and I know that’s not ok. But I don’t know how to reset it to know even 110/70 is good and feel good but I don’t whenever it gets below 115/75..that’s like my cut off. Lower than that I’m drained, weak, nausea and miserable. I’m so frustrated!
