Should I shave, trim, or leave it?

I'm a pretty hairy dude and I haven't shaved or trimmed in probably about 8 months. It's summertime now. I've been 3 years celibate.

This year, I'm ready to start mingling again. Was wondering if I should trim, shave, or leave it.

Personally it doesn't bother me. But I'll go with the majority just to makey life interesting.
