Are these good notes for the falco ditto? Idk if im even approaching gameplans the right way I’m newish.

Falco: He wants an early percent aerial, and the first approaching laser. When you take laser you can shield it, or if far enough you get hit with it you can dash away full hop, full hop double jump or waveland and they can’t hit you. When you take a laser the first thing you should think is can I dash away to plat. If my intention is to get away. When you take a laser, be aware of when you can uptilt. But do it like 5% of the time as a mixup if you know they will dash at you.

“Oh i got hit by a laser”

1. Hit shield if close and roll away from oncoming shine if they hit your shield

2. Jump waveland

3. Full hop away

4. Uptilt

You want to be the one with the laser out first

Stalemates are very strong in this matchup, prepare for a plat showdown

If they full hop trying to hit you, you can full hop ahead of them

If you wanna punish with laser you dont wanna retreating laser, rather dash back and then approach with the laser to be closer and get a shine or sumn. If they decide to take vertical space you can say I will take horizontal

If you find yourself retreating lasering in the corner against falco, dash fullhop to plat, drift back, drift forward and dair edgecancel dair, full hop forward and double jump, or full hop back and double jump, full hop double jump waveland down, mix that up

If they hit me with laser at right or left center and usually go for dair I can go to plat, and shield drop dair them

When in a weird scenario where you trade lasers and don’t know whats going on, retreat to side plat and reset

When pressured by lasers and they are about a falco away try and jump away to plat, if you can’t roll away, don’t try to fight back with shine or uptilt

Understand when you are in disadvantage, and don’t try to throw out hitboxes for people to run into. You didn’t earn it

If shielding on plat and truly think that hes gonna up air you, you can short hop and dair through plat.

Upthrow a falco who shields in the corner, also notice if they don’t retreat to plat in the corner after taking laser

If someone jumps off of the opposite side plat and is falling down stay on and then shield drop dair them or just dair them
