Studying abroad advice

I am currently studying abroad in Singapore (January-May). What are some things I could be doing to improve myself and specifically the academic side of my uni experience. Currently, I am doing a research project (not too sure if that'll help me in the future) and I am also trying to involve myself in as many of the extras as possible (attending guest speakers, academic events etc)

I have a week off and have nothing planned and I don't want to waste the time since all of my friends are travelling (I was supposed to be but it just backfired). I already plan on revising for my exams, learning content we've been taught, doing assignments etc but that's just the bare minimum for uni and I want to start exploring beyond that
