Ps3 tries to eject disk

hey, i am trying to play sly cooper trilogy on my ps3. However when i go insert the disk, it tries to read it, and then a sound much like the eject disc sound can be heard, yet the disk doesnt come out. The eject button still works, but the same fault is with different disks. i have tried two different disks, putting the playstation vertically, andi am currently rebuilding the database. The ps also tries to eject the disk pretty soon after booting and logging in. Has anyone got any solutions?
