HAGS - yay or nay on 8 gig GPUs?

Question

So I currently use a RTX 3070, and as HAGS is enabled by default in Windows 11 I haven’t given it much thought, was playing my games and streaming with sunshine and everything was fine. But recently I’ve started a playthrough of Marvel’s Spider-man 2 and in 1440p my fps would fall from stable 60+ to like 8 - 9 fps. After I did some research, I found that HAGS can be more vram hungry and after disabling it, the issue was gone(ofc it might be a coincidence, since I haven’t experienced this issue before, but after I disabled HAGS the problem was solved)

So my question is - what’s your experience with HAGS on the 8 gig GPUs, especially in the newer, more vram hungry games. Also, is there any benefit of HAGS on a lower end systems with 8gb of VRAM?
