Just finished playing RE9 on macOS and I'd like to share my experience (NO SPOILERS).
Machine: 14 Inch M5 Macbook Pro
Memory: 24GB
Platform: Steam on Crossover 26.0.0
Overall rating: 9.5/10
At first, I had issues with the resolution, but enabling high-resolution mode fixed it completely.
The only annoying problem is that the macOS cursor keeps showing up in-game when it shouldn’t. You can temporarily hide it by pressing the FN key, but it keeps coming back. I eventually stopped bothering and just got used to seeing the cursor move around.
The game crashed once while I was playing as Grace at the early parts of the game. I did lose some progress, but I recovered quickly, and it hasn’t crashed again since.
My advice is whenever you save and you feel like you've been playing for a while. Try to close the game after saving and play again. Atleast that's what I did.
Performance-wise, it’s very smooth on medium graphics settings with no graphical issues at all. (I actually had some minor graphical issues with RE4, but none here.)
Overall, a really solid experience.
