Recommend me how to go from paper to digital sheet music

Discussion

I've always worked off paper sheet music and annotated the sheet music accordingly so if I drop the piece for something else I can always go back and get reminded of my thought process etc.

but I see people playing music off tablets and wondering if I'm missing a trick, does it really help progression?

I get my scores from books primarily and sometimes of musescore and print it off.

My question is what hardware (what tablet to get that's within a reasonable budget for a hobbyist) and what apps to go along with it to make my experience more digital?

Also, is there nice auto page turning functionality, where it can listen to the notes and turn pages or even listen and flag up if a note is wrong, etc.?

If you think I shouldn't go digital then let me know your thoughts why not?

Thanks
