Refine chemicals to crude explosives to get some explosives to get some actual items to use...

Or metal to mechanical components to advanced mechanical components to repair your gun...

We all know the story.

Now, idk your idea behind it, be very role playing in a post apocalyptic world or something else, but...

instead of going through the entire circus of multiple refine and craft and etc., could it be possible to just craft the final item and it would automatically say "youre using this much resources to make" and boom, ready. Aka, shortcut.

Less time crafting, more time dodging bullets.
