Game: ***Race Driver: Grid*** **(2008)**

Game is best played with gamepad.
If playing with motion controllers, in container XR setup page, map any face button to 'control key L' as this is what's required to change in game bindings.

Game is compatible and best played with OpentrackWXR (roll requires post invert)- follow guide to setup opentrack.:
[https://www.reddit.com/r/winlatorxr/comments/1qsd4ox/winlatorxr\_6dof\_pc\_gaming\_with\_no\_pc\_meta\_quest/](https://www.reddit.com/r/winlatorxr/comments/1qsd4ox/winlatorxr_6dof_pc_gaming_with_no_pc_meta_quest/)

opentrack wxr profile option: post invert option ticked for 'roll'

For Opentrack to work in this game, simply change camera to the cockpit view(set the game binding button if on motion controllers)

\-XR mode with no passthrough = 30fps with recording when using turnip video driver, 1080p, all default highest settings, no post processing, level 3 Anti Aliasing, playing with powersave mode enabled on pico 4 ultra- obviously lower settings and resolution can help but ultimately AI cars cause CPU bottleneck.

you could always knock the gpu down in the containers 'XR' menu to '50' or quickly enable power saving in the pico 4 ultra system settings which gives you more FPS (yes bottlenecks can do funny things like this)

annoying bug with codemaster racing games (dirt 1/2/3, grid 1/2) is if you enable autosave it will crash the game, so you have to play without saving- have not investigated workarounds yet.

did not test much on quest 3 driver but did launch with same container setup- minus turnip obviously.

game requires wine mono installed in container and the games redistribution file of OAL installed before starting from the launcher in game files.

Using the latest WinlatorXR build available on sidequest.
