Parking tips for Sparrow Blue, Nygma, Jason Elmore at Three Links Deep Ellum (Dallas 03/04)
honestly if you are heading to see sparrow blue, nygma, and jason elmore on 03/04, you probably already know that parking in deep ellum is a total nightmare. it is one of those spots where you can circle for twenty minutes and still end up paying a fortune to park in a gravel lot where you might get towed if you breathe wrong.
the best way to avoid the whole mess is to check out Prked. you can basically rent out someone's driveway or a private garage spot right by the venue for way cheaper than the commercial lots. it lets you skip that whole traffic circle of death on elm street and you get a guaranteed spot just a short walk away. it is way more chill than trying to fight for a meter.
if you do want to try the public options, your cheapest bet is usually the city-owned lots under the i-345 overpass near good latimer expressway and canton street. they are usually only about five dollars for the evening and they are better lit than most side streets. if you want something closer, there are surface lots like lot 163 right next to the venue at 2710 elm, but they will easily charge you over twenty dollars on a show night. for a middle ground, look for lot 48 near malcolm x or lot 58 on elm, which are usually around six bucks if you do not mind a five minute walk.
street parking is an option too, but you have to pay the meters until midnight. use the parkmobile app so you can just tap your phone and skip the kiosk, it is usually less than three dollars for the night. just be super careful about where you park because the "no parking" signs and loading zones are strictly enforced and the tow trucks in deep ellum are fast. also, never leave anything visible in your car because break-ins are definitely a thing in the area.
if you do not feel like driving at all, the dart green line drops you off at the deep ellum station which is barely a five minute walk from three links. the bus lines like the 214 also run right through there. traffic is going to be heavy around 7:00 pm since everyone is headed out for dinner and the show starts at 8:00 pm, so give yourself extra time to navigate the one-way streets.
hope this helps and have a killer time at the show.
