[Hiring] Dark urban fantasy romance book cover

[Hiring] I'm looking for an illustrator to create the cover for my debut dark fantasy romance novel, Heartless. This is the first in a planned series. I'd like the same artist for all 5 planned books.

About the book: This is a very rough way to explain it but, after her dad's death the MC is running from her grief. Women start getting attacked in her town by 'animals'. When she's attacked and sees its a monster, she investigates which leads to her heart being literally ripped out of her chest and stolen by a stranger and she's thrust into a hidden supernatural world of shadow-wielding warriors and ancient curses. She must team up with one of the warriors and race to get her heart back before the loss kills her, all the while trying to figure out why it was taken. It's a small-town dark romantasy with grief, slow-burn romance, and a world where starlight is the only weapon against the darkness.

Mood: smoky, shadowy, dark with a crimson accent

I don't have a locked-in concept yet so I'd need the artist to help in that department.

Style reference: painterly, atmospheric, emotional.

Specs:

Digital artwork for ebook cover plus paperback and hardcover. Standard ebook size and 6x9 for paperback and hardcover.

Deadline: Flexible, but ideally completed by end of April 2026

Budget: $750 USD for ebook + $100 for print wrap (covers both paperback and hardcover).
