People who use language that makes them sound like greedy pigs in a food competition
"i went for" (insert food here) or "i went to the store to grab some" (insert food here). these words (went for and grab) make you sound like you're a greedy pig in a food competition. there's this youtuber with an awful, nasally voice, and she vlogs her constant family holidays, and every time she shows them at a restaurant, she always says "i went for" or "he went for" for the meal they chose. why can't people just say "i'm having or he's having?" you also get people who always say "i went to the store to grab some eggs." as if eggs are in short supply and about to run out, and you're heroically beating everyone to get to them. why can't you just say "i went to the store to buy some eggs?" why do people use language that makes them sound like greedy pigs who have to get to the food before anyone else does?
