Is not studying for Mocks actually a good idea?
I need some advice on whether or not I should prioritize Mock exams. Mocks are in about 2 weeks and I haven't begun revising or grinding for IB style exams yet. This is primarily because some of my classes haven't even finished covering all the content yet so I've been basically self teaching myself new content. IAs as well, I plan on getting all the IAs and IOs and other course works done this week so next week i can go into full exam prep mode, where it'll just be covering new content to get through it and practice questions and past papers. If things go according to plan, I'll get about 1 month and 2 weeks of full on focused revision in. With mocks happening right smack in the middle of all of this and happening across 2 weeks, I don't think it's smart to basically rush through content just to get a good mock score and losing sight of what I truly have to focus on which is externals, to actually go through the material slowly and have quality revision. I don't know if Mocks contribute to any thing like uni applications? I've already sent my applications to Canadian unis and am currently waiting for conditional offers for some of them.
Are mock scored used for anything other than a report card? Would I be ok if I didn't prioritize them and instead focused on deep and quality revision for May exams?
