Island Setup

Hi r/homenetworking

Where I’m headed, there’s not a lot of professional help or equipment for sale so I’m trying to plan out everything I need to bring down with me to setup Internet on a small Island.

The house + cabanas probably amount to about half a football field of space? Maybe more, and currently the place just has starlink poorly setup on top of the main house with no access points and lots of wifi interruptions.

I’ve got a spare asus ax6000 that ChatGPT says I can use just fine along with an 8 or 16 port switch, multiple access points and a ton of cat6. Anything else I’m missing or need to think through besides connecting it all? I’ll run the cables under the sand to the various places I need to inside of some shielded pipes, that’s no problem.

What access points and switch would you all recommend? Anything else I should know, read, or think about? Thanks!
