Switching from NYU London to NYU Sydney (Full Year) - Is It Too Late?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently meant to be studying at NYU London for Fall 2026, but I’m thinking about switching to NYU Sydney and doing a full academic year there (Fall 2026 + Spring 2027).

Sydney aligns better with my major requirements, and I’d be able to complete more core science classes there compared to London, where I’d likely take more electives. I also feel like Sydney would be a more different experience for me culturally, since London is closer to home.

I know it’s relatively late in the process, so I’m wondering:

• Has anyone successfully switched sites this late?
• Do you know how competitive Sydney is for full-year spots?
• Is it unrealistic to try switching now?
• Should I submit a program change request, or is it probably too late?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s done Sydney or switched programs before.
