Is 160/155 overkill for beginner trail bike? 2019 rocky mohntain instinct

I found a 2019 rocky mountain instinct with fox 36 and dpx2 that's asking 1500 at a lbs, but I'm wondering if it's a bit overkill as it's set up 160/155 as I understand trail bikes are more usually 140. I'll be biking in Bentonville with it mainly, but the move there is a few months away so I haven't ridden anything there. I liked how it rode in the parking lot and over patch of dirt, and it fits great. Do y'all have any thoughts?
