Looking for... a lot of movies

Hi everyone!

As i grew up, i didn't watch a lot of movies at all. I actually haven't watched most movies people ever talk about, excepted for horror movies. Since about a year, i've realised i really felt like i've missed an entire art medium and i've been trying to get into it. I have a few i know i want to watch, but i really wanted to get people's opinions looking for new favs. My goal is also just to know what my actual tastes are

This post in gonna be long and ask a lot. I'm sorry for the length, you can ignore any point you don't wanna answer to. Im just trying to get as much opinions as i can

Here is a list of what i know i like:

• Emotional movies. I love when they are either harsh to watch or just contemplative. Recently ive loved Lilya4Ever and Lily Chouchou. I love movies that make you rethink things or grab you by the guts. Weirdly enough i didn't like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind that much, though it was good
• Experimental movies or just movies with a second reading or weird ones. I haven't seen a lot but ive watched Requiem for a Dream, The Lighthouse and Titane and all three left a very strong impression
• I prefer realistic settings or settings where you're not sure what's real and what's not. I love when movies explore mental health subjects, real world problems, and i love morally grey characters

And here is a list of genres i want to explore:

• I want to watch more funny movies. I only know basic french funny movies, which, i kind of like. Ive tried to watch funny satyre american movies with friends and hated them
• Rimance movie. I'm a big shoujo fav, i also love tragedies, but i litteraly cannot tell you any romance movie i've watched. I'd prefer queer but anything well written is good
• As i love horror, ive always watched horror movies with monsters and exorcism but i realised lately that the only ones that made me scared was Creep. I want more psychological ones
• And lastly, what are movies you consider as classics and wish anyone would have watched?

I dont really like sci-fi, western & crime movies
