Recommendation request

Hey, I basically just got into the CRPG genre about a year ago after running through basically every souls like there is.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend me any games kind of based on my personal preferences, might be a bit of a long write up so I apologize, but hopefully you can bear with me.

For the most part I love fantasy, and difficult combat, gameplay for me is first and foremost, I get it doesn't make sense to be playing CRPG's for the gameplay; but to me when I crank up the difficulty and have to keep bashing my head against the wall to beat a boss or something, I absolutely love that lmao.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good story, but I do always say; if the gameplay isn't good or engaging, then the story is in the wrong medium, should be a show or a book or something.
(Sorry if the ratings seem a bit pretentious with the decimals... but I do like to be as accurate as possible and possibly differentiate that I might like an 8/10 more than another 8/10.
Here's the list starting from my favorite

(side note, I have a hard time with really old games, I don't think I would do well with the old Baldur's gate games etc)

Rogue Trader 9.3/10
I didn't really know anything about Warhammer, but I thought what the heck lets just dive into this. WELL fast forward a few days later and I found myself going to bed watching Luten09 videos nonstop on Youtube for more juicy lore lmao. What an awesome crazy universe

downsides for the game that I didn't like being; the ship combat didn't add anything of value to the game, everytime I would get in one I just wanted it to be over; very fatiguing tbh. I really wish I didn't look up builds, I just thought the customization was a tad overwhelming so I looked some up. Low and behold my Abelard is running around in the end game basically 1 shotting everything and getting a bunch of turns in a row. So that kind of ruined the difficulty challenge for me.
Also the warping was taxing, if you wanted to go from one end of the system to the other you would have to gamble with green/yellow/red warp jumps and it would always just be an inconvenience with some battle that I felt like I've done 100x before. Other than that tho, dope ass game.

BG3 9/10
Holy man, this being my 2nd CRPG I played was the one that got my hooked on the genre.
I've done multiple runs through the game and the quality is just insane. I really wish I saved this one for last because it's so hard for other CRPG's to keep up with this.
I don't really have any qualms about this other than a few minor things.
Game was too easy, which isn't the end of the world, but like I said earlier I love a challenge; and it's hard to get one out of this game without purposely shooting yourself in the foot, which I don't really like doing. I want to have to get as strong as possible and push the game to its limits.
Baldur's Gate was oddly cluttered, it's like you have a portal to hell in one building, then a vampire lord right beside that, then a couple houses over you have an entire Shar enclave... just felt weird.
I loved the characters, but the forced "love" interactions were kind of annoying, it's like I got my homie Gale and suddenly he wants to fuck me because I was nice to him

Dos2 8.5/10
This was the first CRPG I ever played, it didn't really hook me on the genre, but it did get me to try out a genre I never thought I would ever like, so there's that. I get why (now that I've played Dos1) the armor/magic armor system was put into the game. But that's the biggest downside of the game, you're basically forced into making a party that is only phys dmg, or magic damage to burn through the shields. Which made a lot of gear overlap and less cool interactions. Regardless tho, I'm insanely excited to see what Dos3 has in store for us.

Wotr 8/10
Now this was the difficulty that I was looking for, I got my ass absolutely handed to me and I absolutely loved it. at one point of the game I was basically fishing for nat 20's just so I could hit the enemy lmao. Was a great game, I loved the story and act 4 was so damn cool where turning your screen would determine the layout of the city, which you would use to traverse into tricky areas for loot/secrets.
I have some pretty big downsides tho in the game, 50% of the voice acting was basically porn acting, it drove me up the wall. Whenever Lahn or Daeran opened their mouth I just wanted to punch them.
Some of the difficulty was artificially inflated, swarms being ABSOLUTE aids, I legit wanted to just mod them out of the game, holy shit they sucked.
Permanent debuffs were so common in almost every fight, you would struggle to constantly have enough restoration scrolls/potions etc to cure it.
Game was insanely long, by the time I hit act 5 I just wanted to get it over with

POE1 6/10
Don't get me wrong, I loved the story and the vibe around the gilded vale was PEAK.
I hate real time with pause games, you basically just watch an ai vs ai grudge match without much interaction of the game; not super engaging... not to mention the ai presets were so bad they would always use abilities I didn't want them to use that I couldn't disable.
Drove me up the wall having to constantly fight against the game's design

POE2 7.5/10
This imo was such a massive upgrade from the first game, It boggles my mind that it didn't sell well at all, then we got stuck with dogshit avowed because obsidian thought the money elsewhere.
Generally I hate big cities in these games, they're overwhelming and just filled with 9999999999 menial quests that don't add much to the game, but the main city in POE2 was so well done, I basically did everything there.
Difficulty was perfect off the bat, but as my characters started to ramp, the game became a joke sadly

I THINK that's basically all I've beaten, I can't really remember the others, currently working on DOS1 and it's enjoyable, but my issue with playing the sequels to games is seeing all the QOL that they add, and having to put up with the current issues in the game, like the repairing? why is it even in the game lmao, it literally adds nothing. I'm almost to act 3 tho and it's been a pretty fun janky ride.

Games I've dipped my toes into or dropped/ will return to them later:

Wasteland 3: I didn't hate it, but everything is so backwards in the game, and I wasn't really jiving with time it was in, I will most likely go back to this at some point. (I only just got to the main town/city)

Wartales: kind of just fizzled out for me, wasn't fun after awhile; all the dungeons were the same and nothing really excited me

Disco Elysium: I'm def gonna play this, I dipped my toe into the game for like 10 minutes and wasn't really in the mood for a narrative only game, but yes I will go back to it for sure, my friends are all up my ass about playing it, OKAY OKAY.

Solasta: I'm going to play this at some point, I basically got to the main town/city and was overwhelmed so I put it on the backburner lol, the game felt very jank, but I bet I'll like it a lot once I get into it. (also super annoying you gotta spend $420000 for all the DLC's.

Kingmaker: I loved WOTR, but I know these games are a massive undertaking being like 150 to 200 hours long, so I ran into my first swarm and called it, it pissed me off so much seeing that alchemists fire do literally 1 damage to it and all my regular attacks do nothing, no one in my party is spec'd for fireball. jfc
I will go back to this, but I shit you not I'm not dealing with swarms again, I will mod them the fuck out of the game. How did Owlcat think swarms were a good idea

That's about it, if I can think of anything else I will update in due time, Cheers! and if you read all this rambling bs, you're insane lmao.
