I HATE HOLI

Aaj holi ka dehan tha and my parents picked me up from tution and we went straight there (for context everyone in my colony goes to this temple only it is the biggest temple arround here so everyone you know is going to be here) meri mummy ki eek dost brought gulal with her and vo sabpe lagane lagi i insisted so much ki muje nahi lagana but her husband sneeked up on me from behind and still put it all over my face and hair. And the colour he used was red it was geuninly looking so ugly and i really tried to remove it but it was all over my face. all my colony friends and my school friends were there and no one had color on their faces.

And mujpe bhi it wasnt some cute pink gulal on my cheeks it was blood red all over my face and i felt so ugly. As a teenager you do get judged for this shit

When i was saying this to my parents that i just want to sit in the car begging them to give me the keys, my father just said u was being dramatic and that was the reason they put the gugal all over my face and not just cheeks had i just been complaint/okay with it since the beginning they wouldnt have put that much colour on me BUT THATS NOE THE POINT THE POINT IS CONSENT/WILLINGNESS

Why is the concept of choice not present in holi??? I hate the slogan "bura na mano holi hai" cuz people just missuse it so much to excuse everything they do during holi
