Durability and Enchantment

So I got oblivion remastered and have been enjoying it.

Just a few levels ago my armour never broke and enchantments on weapons lasted very long. And now my armour get completely broken in one fight and the enchantment wears out in like 2-3 enemies.

Did something happen to my character once I hit level 20?

Also I'm using the Mithril armour and the mace of the crusader currently

Difficulty is journeyman/journeyman
