So I suspected that my daughter had curly hair when she was still under 1 years old just from the way it was acting when wet, it curls up pretty well! She's nearly 21 months now. It curls up even more now than the pictures I included (these two were a few months back and apart) I'd say it can curl up and shrink to about half the length her hair is when straight(er). She has pretty long hair for her age, born with a head full and we haven't cut it yet (but are definitely willing to if needed). For some reason the very middle back has always been shorter than the pieces closer to her face, and much curlier! I don't know if I should trim the sides to match the middle length and since I have horse tail thick, pin straight hair, I've been researching but still feeling lost on how to take care of her more fine / thin (?) curly hair. We don't currently have a routine other than detangling while wet with conditioner and then letting it air dry 😭 I ordered some things last night but I'm very curious, what do you think her curl type / pattern is? And how should I go about keeping them defined and healthy? Especially overnight. I've recently noticed some thinning on her scalp and overall, her hair seems like it needs some more love 🫶🏻 Thank you so much in advance
