2.5 months off, 5kg up, and a shoulder injury. Today, I stopped waiting for "perfect" and just showed up.
Monday is usually the day people wait for a "fresh start." For me, it was about facing the reality of the last 10 weeks. Since my shoulder injury, I’ve been sidelined. I fell out of my routine, added 5kg, and watched my conditioning slide. I kept waiting for the shoulder to be 100% before "really" training again.
I was wrong. Waiting for 100% is a trap. Today, I went back. No heavy lifting. No PRs. Just: 60 mins of incline walking (Zone 2 cardio). It wasn't the "beast mode" workout I used to do, but it was a Small Win.
At Evolve, we talk a lot about Atomic Progress. A 1-hour walk on an incline is infinitely more effective than the "perfect" lifting session that never happened. Small wins are the compound interest of self-discipline. They aren't just "better than nothing". They are the foundation of the big results that follow. Tomorrow is Day 2. One step at a time. Low-impact cycling or core stability work. Not sure right now.
What was your "Small Win" this Monday? Whether it’s just drinking enough water or finally hitting the gym after a break - drop it below.
