Thursday lift tickets

Does anyone know why Thursday lift tickets at WP are only $50 and all other days are over $200? My husband and I booked a March 10th-13th stay at Fraser/Founders and this is our first time skiing. Thursday seems like the obvious choice with that price point but I'm just wondering if there's a catch or a reason why the tickets are so much cheaper... Thank IA!
