Reducing dose of Lexapro (Cipralex/Escitalopram)

Hey,

I want to ask if anybody else experiences this when reducing the dose of Lexapro..

For some background, I've been on 20mg and I'm also taking Klonopin (Clonazepam) 0.5mg at the evening. I felt like 20mg was too much for me, I had weird left chest pains, heart felt weird and had a lot of heart palpitations, felt "heavy", unmotivated and sometimes jittery

I decided that's enough, I've been on it for 13 weeks and decided to reduce to 15mg.

After the reduction, I felt IMMEDIATE relief on the first day, like my mind was clear, I was more motivated and didn't have ANY symptoms the whole day, not even slight anxiety. Since day 2 and onwards, started feeling some more anxiety and guess some slight withdrawal symptoms

After a week I reduced to 10mg, and same thing, on the first day I feel so calm, relaxed and then now on day 2 I started feeling worse again as the body adjusts and guess more of the "baseline" feeling on Lexapro (I've been on both doses 10mg and 15mg in the past so I'm familiar already how it feels)

Overall I'm feeling like I'm coming back to myself after the reduction, but the 1st day after reduction makes me curious. I've been on this med for years (specifically on 10mg) is this maybe a sign that I don't need SSRI at all? Did anyone just try to cold turkey it successfully after a long time?

I'm having a psychiatrist soon and I think I want to try switching to another SSRI or either just see how would I feel without one..
