Are you blamed for being abused more cause you’re autistic.

Trigger warning…. not detailed about abuse just mention it. I wonder if people with autism get victim blamed more than NT people? Or are people that are victims all just generally blamed?

I’m a survive of domestic violence and it seems everyone I tell even part of my story to (even one counselor) has somehow shifted the blame on me. Like they pretend like they know what I went thru and how I process things “oh you should have just left”, “you should have done xyz”, “you didn’t see those red flags?, “how that is unspoken, you should know that”, “you need to study people more”….
