Is Agilon in Hot Water? What’s Really Going On with $AGL

I’ve been keeping an eye on Agilon lately, and things are looking pretty messy for them. A bunch of investors just filed a class action suit claiming the company basically painted a way too rosy picture of their finances.

The main gripe is that they allegedly put out some very unrealistic goals for 2025 while ignoring some major problems in the healthcare industry. It’s never a good sign when the numbers don't match the hype.

The real drama started back in August when the company suddenly announced their CEO was leaving. On top of that, they totally scrapped their financial forecasts, which sent the stock price off a cliff, it dropped over 50% in a single day.

The claim says the higher-ups knew they couldn't hit those targets but kept talking up their "strategic actions" anyway. So, if you bought in during the first half of 2025, you might want to look into the details of this case.

It’s always a bummer to see a company get hit like this, especially when it feels like they weren't being straight with us. Right now, the lawyers are looking for a lead plaintiff to head up the case in court (deadline is tomorrow for this). Most of these things take forever to play out, but it’s definitely a reminder to always double-check the "optimistic" guidance companies put out during earnings calls.

Do any of you guys still have AGL in your portfolio, or did you manage to get out before the big drop?
